Where has Myponga Bank come from?

The old Bank of Adelaide building in the main street of Myponga closed
it's doors to bank customers back in the 1970's.
Since then it's been used for various businesses but not much attention had been given to the building until now.

With it's high ceilings and beautiful natural light the main banking
chamber is a stunning area.
The original strong room still exists as do the other smaller chamber areas. The history behind the bank and it's place in the local community are rich and interwoven.

Who is behind Myponga Bank?
The new owner, Sam Day, has long family ties in the area and realised the true potential of the building.
Today when you visit, you'll find the stunning Myponga Bank Gift Shop and Coffee Bar.
However the store and coffee bar are just the first phase of development within the town.

What can you expect when you visit?
Myponga Bank is 'the' destination to indulge your senses.

We search for unique items and unusual pieces.
If you are looking for something different then simply visit us.

We stock a huge range of natural products for customers who wish to reduce the impact on the environment, inside and outside their homes.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a huge selection of coffee & tea blends, freshly baked cakes and indulgent treats in a beautiful, relaxing and friendly environment.

Our open hours are 10am - 4.30pm.
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday & public holidays

Farmers market opening

Gourmet Food & Farmers Market
The exciting new Gourmet Food & Farmers Market was launched on the 6th December 2009, highlighting the amazing produce grown locally.

The Gourmet Food & Farmers Market will be held every Sunday from 10am till 1.30pm.

We realised that getting up early on a Saturday morning to visit a farmers market, only to find out the stalls have sold out, may not suit everyone.

When you visit the Gourmet Food & Farmers Market you will find everything you need.
Fresh, top quality produce with many unique stalls not found at other farmers markets.

Our Gourmet Food & Farmers Market, like much of our farmers produce, is growing and developing.
Our launch was a great place to start but we are working tirelessly to improve the market and provide more top quality produce.
